Privacy policy
Last updated October 24, 2026. This policy covers this website, syncline.kcederlund.dev. The game itself and the stores that sell it (Steam, itch.io, IndieDB, mod.io) have their own policies.
Who is responsible
Krister Cederlund (KCEDERLUND.DEV), Sweden. Questions or requests about your data: support@kcederlund.dev.
Analytics, only if you accept
The site uses Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which buttons they use — for example whether a visitor opened the trailer, played the demo or followed a link to Steam. It runs in Google's Consent Mode:
- — If you accept, Google Analytics stores cookies (named _ga…) in your browser to recognize repeat visits, and records the pages you view, the buttons you click, your browser and device type, and your approximate region. Google Analytics does not store your IP address.
- — If you decline, or haven't chosen yet, nothing is stored in your browser. Google still receives a basic signal that the page was viewed, without any identifier, which it uses to estimate overall visitor numbers.
The legal basis is your consent. You can change your choice at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of the main page; declining removes the analytics cookies. Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months. Google may process it in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See Google's privacy policy.
Embedded content
- — The trailer is a YouTube video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; after that, YouTube's privacy policy applies and it may set cookies.
- — The playable demo is hosted by itch.io. On a computer it loads once you scroll down the page (or press Play on a slow connection); on a phone it doesn't load at all. itch.io sets one cookie of its own (itchio_token), a security token for its site, not for tracking. See itch.io's privacy policy.
What your browser keeps
Your cookie choice is saved in your browser's local storage so you aren't asked again. It never leaves your device.
Server logs
Like any website, the server that hosts this site may keep short-lived access logs (IP address, time and page requested) to keep the site running and secure.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete data about you, or object to its use, by emailing support@kcederlund.dev. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY.
